Many people falsely assume…

…That trauma is always rooted in comparative suffering. In other words, "It's not like I've experienced [insert example here], so I don't really have a right to call it trauma. Many people have suffered worse." However, this is not how our brain and body operate. Trauma is trauma, and it can change how your brain is wired to respond to perceived or real threats.

PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) symptoms can vary widely for each individual, but most people feel some constellation of symptoms AND these symptoms are negatively impacting their ability to function personally and/or professionally.

You May Experience:

  • Feeling anxious, on edge, hypervigilant, or always on guard

  • Flashbacks, nightmares, or intrusive memories related to a past traumatic event

  • Panic attacks or physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat, sweating, or chest tightness when triggered
